Are online classes better than the actual school?

Image
Who would have thought that one day, our lives would turn upside down?  That one day, we would witness a pandemic. That leaving the house without a mask will make our lives vulnerable.  Since the WHO declared COVID a pandemic, we all have shifted to alternatives, and our dependence on electronic gadgets has increased by 82%! Sounds concerning? Living in the digital era, the point of debate nowadays is whether online classes are better than the traditional classes which I believe are not.    People argued that online classes run smoother than the actual classes because it is easier to keep track of students as they can collectively store children's assignments.  There is no physical barrier to stop one from studying. Moreover, they believe studying at home reduces the stress a student carries as they are in a comfortable environment. Should students get limited access to the Internet ?

Image
Helloooo !! So firstly sorry for vanishing. We both had a lot going on and we could not manage time well but we promise not to repeat it.  Today we will be talking about the Internet. Our lives revolve around the internet. These days the day begins with logging in the zoom, teams, google classroom, or any other respective site (all of them are  ) and ends by submitting late-night assignments. The random webinars that keep popping during the day and the long duration of online classes drain our energy.    With so much going on can we limit the internet? The real question is " DO WE NEED TO ?".  Parents believe we must, the statement "Can you please keep your device aside?! " says it all.  I believe we must limit access. At times, the internet may direct young adults to sites ...

That is then followed by our sensory memory which has a large capacity but a very small duration. Exampl...

Nature or Nurture?

Image
Nature or Nurture - which plays the biggest  role in who you are? Nature v/s nurture has been a point of debate for several ages and has created uncountable controversies. The topic of discussion today is the same. It is believed that intelligence can be viewed best as the product of complex interaction within nature and the environment. Heredity is something that- sets a range within which an individual develops. I know we have all heard " iske toh khoon mai hai "? at least once in our life. It is still believed that the daughter or son of a doctor is bound to be a doctor. Well, why not actually go into the insight of this claim. The evidence for hereditary influences on intelligence came mainly from studies on twins and adopted children. Twin studies: The intelligence of identical twins reared together correlates almost 0.90.  Twins separated early in childhood also show considerable similarity in their intellectual, personality, and behavioral characteristics.  The int...
